This Privacy Policy explains how the Extension collects, uses, stores, and protects information when used by authorized personnel of Acuity Eye Group.
1. About the Extension
INDX Nexus is developed exclusively for Acuity Eye Group and its authorized workforce.
It securely integrates with Nextech IntelliChartPRO and IntelligentDx backend services (including SAS).
Current functionality includes:
- Authenticating Extension users using the active Nextech session.
- Reading limited page context from authorized Nextech screens.
- Displaying provider favorite authorization bundles from SAS.
- Inserting selected bundle names and CPT codes into the Follow-Up comment field.
- Displaying read-only patient authorization status inside Coding workflow.
The Extension does NOT currently:
- Create appointments.
- Create insurance authorizations.
- Sell or rent user data.
- Use collected information for advertising or marketing.
The Extension is intended solely for authorized Acuity Eye Group personnel and is not available for public use.
2. Who Can Use the Extension
Access is limited to authorized employees, healthcare providers, contractors and administrative staff who have been granted permission by Acuity Eye Group.
3. Information We Access
The Extension may access only information necessary to perform requested healthcare workflows.
- User identification information.
- User email.
- Nextech session token.
- IntelligentDx/SAS access token.
- Organization and role information.
- Provider name.
- Patient first name.
- Patient last name.
- Date of Birth.
- Date of Service.
- Favorite authorization bundle names.
- CPT codes.
- Authorization status.
4. How We Use Information
- Authenticate authorized users.
- Call IntelligentDx backend APIs.
- Retrieve provider authorization bundles.
- Insert selected bundle and CPT information into Nextech.
- Display patient authorization status.
- Support authorized healthcare workflows.
- Maintain security, auditing and troubleshooting.
We never use patient information for advertising, profiling or marketing.
5. Information Sharing
We do not sell, rent or trade user or patient information.
Information is shared only when necessary to:
- Communicate with IntelligentDx backend services.
- Communicate with SAS.
- Support healthcare operations.
- Comply with legal obligations.
- Protect system security.
6. Data Storage
The Extension minimizes local storage.
- Temporary browser memory.
- Chrome Extension storage for authentication state.
- Secure transmission to IntelligentDx backend services.
- Authorized healthcare systems where required.
Authentication tokens may be removed automatically after logout, expiry or user switch.
7. Authentication
Users must already be logged into authorized Nextech systems.
The Extension securely exchanges approved session information for an IntelligentDx/SAS access token before calling protected APIs.

9. HIPAA & Healthcare Information
Where applicable, Protected Health Information (PHI) is processed solely to support healthcare operations and is handled according to applicable healthcare privacy regulations, organizational security policies and contractual agreements between IntelligentDx Pvt. Ltd. and Acuity Eye Group.

The Extension is intended exclusively for healthcare professionals and organizational staff. It is not designed for use by children.
14. International Access
IntelligentDx Pvt. Ltd. operates from India and securely supports healthcare organizations including Acuity Eye Group through approved infrastructure and appropriate safeguards.
15. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may periodically update this Privacy Policy as the Extension evolves. Material updates will be reflected by revising the Effective Date shown at the top of this page.
